Ontario Fishing License Options

You are required to have an Ontario fishing license if you plan to fish Canadian waters of the Detroit River, Lake Erie, or Lake St. Clair.  Here are the purchase options available to get your license.

Non residents are not allowed to purchase their fishing license online.  Learn about license types and costs online from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.  Visit OMNR Website

Ontario Fishing License by Phone or Agent
You can get your Ontario fishing license by phone directly from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources or through an approved license agent.  View a list of licensed agents on the OMNR website or call 800-667-1940

Lakeside Fishing Shop in St. Clair Shores, Michigan
Lakeside Fishing Shops makes a trip once per week to Ontario to pick up fishing licenses.  You can stoip by the store and order it in person or order it over the phone with a credit card.  The license will arrive back in the store within a week or they will mail it directly to you house for a small fee.  This takes a few extra days.  Plan ahead!  Store phone 586-777-7003
