RIP Len Ryan
Our good friend and fishing partner Len Ryan passed away today - Friday, July 23, 2010 at the age of 79. This picture is from one of Len's last fishing trips on the Detroit River with his son Randy on our boat. Len loved walleye fishing and Lake Erie was his favorite place to go. Len didn't have much use for a bunch of fancy equipment and always wanted to hold the fishing rod in his hand. The last fish he caught was a three pound walleye in Brest Bay - the same place he learned to fish for walleye many years ago.
We learned a lot from Len over the last three years as he struggled with a difficult illness but never lost his spirit - even up to the very end. He loved watching his grandson Ryan play football for the Canton Chiefs and the team was hoping he would be in the stands again this fall. Watch over our Canton Chiefs football players this season and find us all a great place to fish for walleye in heaven. Thanks for being a great friend and inspiration. Rest in Peace.
